Who are you walking with?

Genesis 5:22-24 (ASV) and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

You know it’s amazing how we don’t give much thought to what we feed on, what road we’re walking on, who’s leading us, and perhaps even where we’re headed to. A number of us are hurting for reasons best left for us to know and it’s simple, “we don’t think of the consequences of our moves”. All we care about is seeing something nice and good that’s in front of us. That’s why it’s hard to detect that something is wrong on your end, till you find yourself deep into the valleys, deep into the woods, miles away from the starting point and then you will see that everything is not adding up, nothing makes sense.
You’ve been feeding on poison for quite some time now and you still don’t understand why your friends dropped along the way. You still have no idea as to why you’re alone on that lane.
Someone else will say God knows why I am here, well that’s true, He really knows why but the question you need to answer is; “Are you there because you’re walking with God or you’re walking with god?” Who are you walking with? A case study of Enoch in Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Will your disappearance be because God took you or god took you?

Many times we want to walk, move and push forward with an ambition to hit. However, the biggest question is who are you walking with? Where are you going? Who is leading who?
When we take up the part of walking with God, it is important to have a desire to know everything about Him. It then becomes up to Him to either show us all or do as He pleases.

This world today has a lot of cunning words that will lure you into embarking on their pursuits and before you know it, you’re out of hand and life gets tight for you.
They’ll say to you that it’s not what goes in that corrupts but it is what comes out. Well, what if you’re being fed poison, won’t you die? That means we should take care of what we’re feeding ourselves too. John 6:35 (AMP) Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time)., John 6:51(AMP) I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body). Similarly from the scriptural references above we can see that God is mindful of what we’re being fed on. Because if you walk with God He will feed you of Mana, the bread that fell from above, the bread that is full of Life, He Himself who is the Life himself.
Jesus after they’d had breakfast asked Simon Peter three times if he loved Him, and every time Peter would admit. Jesus then told him to do something inline with feeding, “….. then He says “feed my lambs……., Tend my sheep…….. feed my sheep” (John 21:15-17)

The more time you spend walking with God, the more comfortable you get.
The challenge we have today is very simple “we don’t want to own the problem as it is” we fear responsibility, so we run behind closed doors and get defensive and before you realise it’s become offensive.
First question is: Who are you? Or maybe I should phrase it again; Who am I? Now if you answer the question because you know the answer then you miss the whole point here. If possible try to assume you don’t know yourself and someone somewhere knows you better…

What if all you’ve been told are lies and all you’ve ever known is a lie? It gets tight right? Sure, Jesus said You will know the truth and that truth will set you free only if we remain walking in His ways. (John 8:31-32
So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.)
Sometimes we defend what we don’t even know.
What truth do you know? Who do you know; “the anointing itself or the anointed men”?
It’s the same for us who are you walking with? Who knows you and how you relate with so and so… Eeeeiiissshhh!!!!
It’s getting more tight right?? Maybe not maybe yes, you can only know it when you’re deep into it…

The question is are you walking in truth, if yes; are you free on that lane?
The Bible says every good thing comes from the Lord (Ref; James 1:17) but how many times do we keep a hold on to stuff that ain’t from God. And funny enough we drop scriptures to defend that which we even don’t know, that which we haven’t proven…

They’ll tell you, “believe in yourself you’ll make it “but what does the Scriptures say? John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

They’ll say you’re being judgmental but in Galatians 2:11-14 the bible says; But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him publicly, speaking strongly against what he was doing, for it was very wrong. When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians, who don’t bother with circumcision. But afterward, when some Jewish friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore because he was afraid of what these legalists would say. Then the other Jewish Christians followed Peter’s hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was influenced to join them in their hypocrisy. When I saw that they were not following the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you trying to make these Gentiles obey the Jewish laws you abandoned (NLT)

You’ll say again; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me… very scriptural but still the same writer says; everything is permissible for me but not everything is helpful, 1 Corinthians 6:12 (BBE) I am free to do all things; but not all things are wise. I am free to do all things; but I will not let myself come under the power of any.

We don’t walk with God because we want to get good things from Him. Neither do we read or Study the Word of God (Bible) because we want to get better at it or rather to defend ourselves or the religious acts but we do it to get that Personal Relationship with God Himself, the Word itself is God. We read the Bible such that we get to encounter God in His place. That is why we need to know how to walk with God.

Get on the Journey today, make that decision and start walking with God. It is a life changing experience that you will never forget in your life.
