THE DEMON OF CHURCH LATENESS

Well, time is seen to be an illusion in space where it is demarcated to keep people in line with their agendas and programs. Well, people overlook the fact of keeping time, when God has everything all planned according to time. We see!! He has created the universe in accordance with the time that’s the first day, second, third until the time He rested on the seventh day. People undermine the concept of being at church on time. Church programs are set with the guidance of the Holy Ghost and as per program set, the Holy Ghost pours out the Grace and anointing to fulfil the will to the fullest as God planned. It’s not really amazing to see the same person who made it on time for class, job interview, airport appointment or any other personal plans but get late for church.

Now one factual thing you should know is that God is a God of coordinated plans and timing. Church is a gathering that He, Himself has called into motion in His Word

Hebrews 10:25:

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

NIV”

Church comes from a Greek word called Ekklesia which means Assembly, from the above text we see that church is an assembly of believers and the Bible says where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name Jesus is there (Matthew 18: 20).

When we gather as an assembly we are actually meeting God.

From the Above explanation, we see that church is an Appointment with Christ.

But why are the things of the Lord not taken with much seriousness in this age and generation? Yet we claim we really want God…

Isa 58:2

They’re busy, busy, busy at worship,

and love studying all about me.

To all appearances, they’re a nation of right-living people —

law-abiding, God-honoring.

They ask me, ‘What’s the right thing to do?’

and love having Me on their side.

Well, the Bible explains:

2 Tim 3:1-5

Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. 2. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, 3. dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, 4. treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. 5. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people.
