Hebrews 4:3
“For we who have believed do enter His rest.” The rest of God is not a rest from work—it’s a rest in work.
It’s partnering with God to do what He is calling you to do by His grace, and leaving the part you can’t do in His hands, trusting Him to do it. The scripture Hebrews 4:3 in the Amplified version declares “We who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest”. It all starts by believing.
It is your ability to believe,adhere to,trust in and rely on God that determines the extent to which you experience the rest of God.
The Rest of God becomes a reality when you believe and begin to live by faith and not by sight.
You are not called to live by your senses: What you See-Sight What you feel- Emotions What you think- Intellect You are called to live by faith:To Trust God beyond reasonable doubt that God is faithful and capable of fulfilling His word concerning your life Living by faith is not stepping into the unknown but rather —it’s living in rest. Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread?
The Lord is my Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord is your Salvation, salvation does not only mean deliverance from eternal condemnation.
There is a higher definition of salvation. Salvation is a state of total complete well being.
Your state of total complete well being is found in God and it all starts with Romans 10:9 “if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
You ought not to fear any storm of life,for the Lord is the refuge and Stronghold of your life. He is your salvation When the storms of life arise,its not a time to cry out,panik or worry but rather time to trust in God in whom you have rest. In times of the storms of life, its time to fellowship in the rest of God. For in Him, we move, we live and have our being(Acts 17:28).
Our rest is in Him : It is all found in Him, Rest is a reality in God.
Life in Christ is Life at Ease, Keep Your eyes on God. When You focus on Your problem, You’re going to be distressed and depressed. When You focus on God, You Live and Walk in Rest.
